In a new move to support senior citizens, the UAE has announced that residents aged 60 and older, including expats, can now visit Al Ain Zoo for free. This update is part of the “Year of Community” initiative launched by President Sheikh Mohamed last week.

Previously, only people aged 70 and above enjoyed free entry, but with the new policy, more seniors can benefit from the offer. The change shows the zoo’s ongoing commitment to making the experience accessible and enjoyable for everyone in the community. To ensure comfort, Al Ain zoo provides a range of services for senior visitors, including wheelchair access, available on request at the Visitor Happiness Office.

The zoo’s facilities, including buildings, pathways, and transport vehicles, are designed to meet the needs of older visitors, making it easier for them to explore and enjoy the zoo. In addition to seniors, children under 3 years old can also enter the zoo for free.

People of determination can enjoy free entry as well, along with one free ticket for an accompanying person. This policy expansion reflects the zoo’s commitment to inclusivity and supporting the entire community.

Al Ain Zoo is open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM, but be aware that some areas and experiences may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or renovations.
