As Ramadan approaches, schools in Dubai will adjust their schedules. Starting this weekend, both public and private schools in the city will switch to remote learning on Fridays. This change comes in response to the UAE Ministry of Education’s announcement, which affects public schools, and follows orders from Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed.
The shift to home learning is part of broader changes across Dubai, with many private businesses and public institutions adjusting their hours for the Holy Month.
While students will learn from home on Fridays, the Ministry has also made provisions for families who may need in-person schooling. If remote learning doesn’t work for your family, students can still attend school in person.
For parents who work on Fridays and can’t stay home, the option for on-site attendance will help accommodate different needs during Ramadan. This plan aims to offer flexibility, ensuring families can choose the best option based on their situation.
