Dubai is home to many traditional majlis spaces during Ramadan, but Not a Majlis is offering something different. This unique pop-up, created by Not A Space, has found a new home at 25hours Hotel One Central, bringing a relaxed and playful twist to the Ramadan experience.

Located on the hotel’s sixth floor, Not a Majlis combines casual vibes with entertainment, food, and stunning views of the Museum of the Future. Whether you’re catching up with friends over a game of backgammon, enjoying live music, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, this spot is designed for laid-back Ramadan evenings.

The space is set up like a cozy Middle Eastern home, with patterned rugs, low seating, and warm lighting. Instead of the usual iftar buffets, you’ll find a menu featuring everything from burgers and pasta to hot chocolate and specialty coffee.

Entertainment is a big part of the experience. You’ll find traditional board games, modern video games (yes, even PlayStations with multiple controllers), and comfy bean bags for lounging. The space is decorated with glowing Ramadan-themed lights, including a fairy-lit crescent moon, adding to the festive ambiance.

Last year, Not a Majlis was held at Souk Madinat Jumeirah, and before that, its original version, Not A Space, was based in Al Faya, Sharjah. This evolving concept keeps reinventing itself, making each Ramadan pop-up feel fresh and exciting.

Not a Majlis is only open for a limited time during Ramadan. Whether you’re looking for a unique iftar or a late-night suhoor hangout, this pop-up is worth checking out before it’s gone.
