Based on Tim Burton’s cult classic film, the musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a quirky teenager grappling with grief and a distant father. After moving into a haunted house, Lydia meets the mischievous demon Beetlejuice, who’s desperate to break free from his invisible curse. But the plot comes with a tiny twist: only Lydia can see him, and lifting the curse requires a little cooperation — specifically, saying his name three times.
The musical adaptation blends dark humor, catchy songs, and chaotic ghostly adventures, staying true to the spirit of the original movie while adding plenty of new twists for theatre audiences.
