If you’re planning to drive around Dubai this Sunday, you might want to rethink your route. The city will host Dubai Ride 2025, and that means some major roads will be off-limits for a few hours. The ride takes place on November 2, and authorities have announced temporary traffic changes, diversions, and updates to Salik toll fees.

Here’s everything you need to know to avoid delays.

Road Closures during Dubai Ride on November 2

From 3.30 AM to 10.30 AM on Sunday, several key roads in Dubai will be closed to make way for cyclists:

  • Sheikh Zayed Road between the Trade Centre roundabout and Al Hadiqa Road Bridge
  • Lower Financial Centre Road, between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road
  • one lane of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard

To keep your journey smooth, the RTA recommends using Upper Financial Centre Road, Zabeel Palace Road, Al Wasl Road, Al Khail Road, or Al Asayel Street as alternative routes. Morning commuters are encouraged to plan ahead and adjust their timings to avoid getting caught in traffic.

Changes to Salik Toll Fees during Dubai Ride on November 2

Drivers should also note temporary changes to Salik toll rates for the day.

  • During the morning peak from 6 AM to 10 AM, the rate will be AED 6
  • During the evening peak from 4 PM to 8 PM, there will be reduced rate of AED 4

Outside these hours, the toll will remain at AED 4 between 10 AM to 4 PM and from 8 PM to 1 AM.
