Got a green thumb or just love spending time in your garden? Here’s your chance to show it off and maybe take home a share of AED 300,000. Dubai Municipality has launched the third edition of its “Most Beautiful Sustainable Home Garden” contest, inviting everyone in Dubai to turn their home gardens into eco-friendly masterpieces.

The competition is part of the UAE’s Year of the Community and aims to bring people together through greener living. Whether you’ve got a sprawling backyard or a tiny balcony jungle, what matters is how well you blend creativity, sustainability, and smart design.

Entries will be judged on ten points, from how you save water and use native plants to how you manage waste and energy. The jury will also look at cleanliness, innovation, and how efficiently you use your space. It’s not just about pretty flowers but about building a small ecosystem that thrives.

Joining “Most Beautiful Sustainable Home Garden” contest is simple. The online application takes around 15 minutes, including uploading a few photos of your garden. You can apply right now, but don’t wait too long: entries close on December 21, 2025.

To help participants, Dubai Municipality will also be hosting workshops and sharing online tips on how to make your garden more sustainable and productive. So even if you’re new to gardening, you’ll have expert guidance every step of the way.

If you care about the planet and love getting your hands a little dirty, this contest is for you. It’s a great way to contribute to Dubai’s growing movement. Check out other green projects coming to the city: eco-friendly tower Talea and nature-filled retail space Ghaf Woods Mall.
