Kuwait’s cultural scene is about to shine a bit brighter with the opening of the 48th Kuwait International Book Fair this Wednesday, November 19. Hosted at the Kuwait International Fairground, this event offers a chance to immerse yourself in the cultural richness of the region and beyond.

This year, the fair is particularly special as it coincides with Kuwait’s recognition as the Arab Capital of Culture and Media for 2025. It’s a celebration of the country’s cultural influence and its contribution to the global arts scene.

With over 600 publishers from 33 countries, Kuwait International Book Fair 2025 will feature a wide range of books in Arabic and English. Whether you’re after thought-provoking novels, insightful biographies, or academic texts, you’ll find just the right piece that suits your taste!

Beyond the books, the fair will also host a series of engaging cultural events:

  • Cultural Café will dive into discussions on creativity, translation, and literature
  • Culture Pavilion will celebrate modern cultural diversity, with a focus on philosophy, the arts, and language
  • Children’s Culture Pavilion will offer an interactive, tech-driven space for young visitors to learn and create

If you can’t make it this week, don’t worry: Kuwait International Book Fair 2025 will be open until November 29, giving you plenty of time to explore its vast collection of books and cultural events.

Planning a visit? The fair will be open at the following times:

  • All days: morning hours (9 AM to 1 PM) and afternoon hours (4:30 PM to 10 PM)
  • Fridays: 3:30 PM to 10 PM
