This December, the historic city of Muharraq will once again transform into a vibrant hub of cultural celebration with the return of the Muharraq Nights Festival 2024. Running from December 5 to 30, this festival promises an exciting lineup of experiences, celebrating the rich heritage and dynamic spirit of Bahrain through music, art, food, family activities, and immersive tours.

Visitors will walk along the UNESCO-listed Pearling Path, a route that reflects Muharraq’s legacy as Bahrain’s former capital and a center of Gulf pearl trade for centuries.

This year, festival-goers are in for a treat, as every heritage house along the Pearling Path will open its doors to the public for the first time. The festival spans from the Bu Maher coast to the Pearling Museum at Siyadi Majlis, with each stop unveiling stories of Bahrain’s pearling history through curated exhibitions and displays.

Though the complete schedule is yet to be released, expect an array of creative activities, including hands-on art and design workshops, interactive exhibits for kids, live music performances, and a variety of culinary treats that reflect Bahrain’s diverse flavors. Best of all, entry to Muharraq Nights is free, making it the perfect festive outing for visitors and residents alike.
