If you’re a regular on Dubai’s Red Line, don’t be surprised when Jebel Ali Metro Station suddenly looks a little different — it’s getting a new name. Starting July 2025, Jebel Ali Metro Station will officially become National Paints Metro Station, following a 10-year naming rights agreement announced by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Located in the heart of the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the station serves one of Dubai’s busiest and fastest-developing industrial districts. The rebranding reflects the RTA’s ongoing partnerships with local companies to rename stations across the network.

The transition won’t happen overnight. From July through the end of October 2025, RTA teams will begin updating signs both inside and outside the metro system. Changes will also roll out across smart apps, onboard announcements, and transport maps, ensuring riders stay informed and oriented.
Commuters relying on Metro for daily travel or weekend exploration should keep an eye out for the new name — it will soon appear everywhere from ticket kiosks to app notifications.

This isn’t the first time Dubai Metro stations on Red Line have seen name changes in 2025. Al Khail Metro Station became Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station in March, GGICO Metro Station was renamed Al Garhoud Metro Station in April, and UAE Exchange Metro Station took on the new name Life Pharmacy Metro Station in May.
