Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a temporary traffic diversion at the intersection of King Salman Street and the road leading to Dubai Harbour. The change is linked to the start of bridge construction works in the area and is set to begin on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
According to the RTA, the diversion will stay in place until the construction is complete. During this period, main roads and left turns on King Salman Street will be closed for drivers coming from the Marina area heading toward Jumeirah and Dubai Harbour.

To manage the flow of traffic, vehicles will be redirected via Al Marsa Street, then onto Al Khayay Street, followed by Al Naseem Street, and finally back onto King Salman Street. Drivers are advised to plan their journeys ahead of time, leave a little earlier than usual, and try to avoid peak travel hours where possible.
This is one of several traffic management efforts happening around the city. This summer, RTA is also rolling out improvements across 40 locations in the emirate. And with the new AI-powered UTC-UX Fusion traffic signal system launched recently, navigating city roads is expected to get a bit easier — even during construction works like this one.
