Dubai’s Alserkal Avenue is about to welcome a new concept that brings food and farming under one roof. The Growhouse, a café and indoor farm developed by the team behind One Life, is preparing to open its doors in the creative district — and it’s shaping up to be a thoughtful addition to the city’s sustainability scene.
Designed with industrial chic in mind, The Growhouse takes inspiration from Al Quoz’s industrial roots, pairing exposed piping and high ceilings with neutral tones and vibrant greenery. The space is structured for community, with communal tables built into its layout to encourage group dining and conversation.

At the heart of the project is a strong sustainability message. The Growhouse is a collaboration between One Life and LetitGRO, a UAE-based sustainable solutions company. The venue will feature a regenerative biodiversity system, and partner with The Waste Lab to turn food waste into a resource — a move aimed at reducing the café’s environmental footprint.
According to Ameen El Rhayem, founder of LetitGRO, the concept was born out of a casual conversation with the One Life team, who are long-time customers.

“The partnership makes perfect sense since the main purpose is education in nature,” he said, noting that the space will function as a working example of how a restaurant, farm, and business can operate in harmony.
With existing One Life branches already running in Dubai Design District (D3) and Jumeirah Village Circle, The Growhouse adds a new layer to the brand’s identity — one that blends sustainability, urban farming, and hospitality.
While an official opening date has not been shared, anticipation is growing for this unique concept that will bring together fresh produce, conscious dining, and hands-on education in the heart of Al Quoz.
