This summer, the city set a new Guinness World Record with the largest-ever mall run. Dubai Mallathon 2025 welcomed over 40,000 participants in total. The grand finale at Dubai Hills Mall featured 1,392 runners, securing the title for most runners in a mall run event.

Dubai continues to break its own records. Of the five tallest hotels in the world, four are located in the city, and the fifth is in Shanghai. The current record for the world’s tallest hotel now belongs to Ciel Tower:
