Get ready for a dazzling display of lights as Abu Dhabi prepares to celebrate Eid Al Adha with spectacular fireworks shows across the emirate. This year, the festivities will take place on Monday, June 17, at 9 PM sharp, promising a memorable evening for residents and visitors alike.
Where to Watch the Fireworks
Firework displays will be held in three key locations across Abu Dhabi.
- Abu Dhabi Corniche: The heart of the city will come alive with vibrant fireworks illuminating the iconic Corniche. It’s a perfect spot for families and friends to gather and enjoy the show against the backdrop of the Arabian Gulf.
- Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain: Those in Al Ain can head to this renowned stadium to witness the fireworks light up the sky.
- Al Dhafra: In Al Dhafra, fireworks will be launched from three different locations: the Public Park, Madinat Zayed, and Al Marfa.
Each firework display will last for five minutes and is free to attend.
In previous years, locations such as Yas Island and Hudayriyat Island have also hosted spectacular fireworks shows. Although these locations haven’t been confirmed yet for this year’s celebrations, keep an eye out for further announcements.
Eid Al Adha 2024 Predicted Dates
This year, the Emirates Astronomy Society predicts that the holiday will begin on Monday, June 17, following the Day of Arafat on Sunday, June 16. This marks the start of a three-day public holiday in the UAE, giving families plenty of time to celebrate and enjoy the festivities.
