Bahrain has officially been named the host of the 17th Arab Games, set to take place in 2031, marking a monumental achievement for the nation. This exciting announcement came during the 22nd General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, held in Jordan on November 21, 2024. The assembly was presided over by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Union.
Bahrain’s selection highlights the country’s growing prominence in the world of sports and its ability to deliver world-class events. Representing Bahrain at the assembly were Fajr Jassim, Director of International and Arab Relations, and Ahmed Abdulghaffar, Chief Operating Officer of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
