Hosted at Jun’s in Downtown Dubai, the seven-course dinner is a tribute to both chefs’ rich heritages. Chef Malhas from the MENA’s 50 Best list is drawing inspiration from his Palestinian-Jordanian roots and Chef Cheung infusing Chinese-Canadian flavors. Expect dishes that speak to both their backgrounds, along with influences from their previous collaboration at the Jordan Food Festival.
The evening begins with a selection of vibrant starters, such as house-made pickles, ka’ek b simsim, and kimchi, setting the stage for an exceptional lineup of mezze and main courses. Diners can savor distinctive plates like samakeh nayyeh (with aged sea bream, apple, guava), lentil kufta, cauliflower mshat, and a playful msakhan-inspired pani puri (with onion jam, confit chicken, sumac broth).
Heartier dishes include shushbarak dumplings, tender Westholme short ribs, and carrot fatteh, each thoughtfully crafted to showcase the chefs’ culinary expertise and cultural roots.
To finish, an artful array of desserts awaits, from a flavorful kullaj bite (nabulsi cheese, rose, pistachio) to an inventive rakweh tiramisu (with cardamom, burnt milk crumble) that’s sure to please every sweet tooth.
This exceptional meal is priced at AED 575 per person and offers an optional Patron cocktail package for an additional AED 175. Reserve your table to witness this extraordinary fusion of cultures and cuisines in the heart of Dubai.
