If Central Asia has been sitting on your travel wish list, this might be the sign you were waiting for. Oman Air is launching a new route between Muscat and Tashkent, making it easier than ever to discover Uzbekistan. The direct flights start on June 1, 2026, and will operate twice a week, linking the capitals of Oman and Uzbekistan without the usual stopover hassle.

For travellers based in Oman, this means a smooth connection to Tashkent’s wide boulevards, buzzing bazaars and grand Soviet-era architecture. And if you’ve been curious about Silk Road cities, ancient madrasas and colourful tilework, this new route between Muscat and Tashkent opens the door to all of it.

Tashkent is the eighth destination the airline has added since December. And just recently, Oman Air has introduced a new route between Dubai and Salalah, operating three times a week.
