The Dubai Government has confirmed the official public holidays for Eid Al Fitr 2025. Public sector employees will have time off for the first three days of Shawwal, the Islamic month that follows Ramadan. If Ramadan lasts 30 days, an extra day off will be added, making the break even longer.

This means that government workers in Dubai are expected to have Sunday, March 30, to Wednesday, April 2, as official holidays. However, these dates depend on the moon sighting and will be officially confirmed closer to the time.

Earlier this week, the UAE government outlined Eid Al Fitr holiday dates for both public and private sector employees. Dubai has now officially aligned with this schedule.

A circular from the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) states that work will be suspended for government employees during this period. However, those working in essential public services or on shift schedules are not included in the holiday break. Their working hours will be set based on operational requirements to keep services running smoothly.

With Eid Al Fitr being a time of celebration and togetherness, these holidays give employees the chance to enjoy the festive period with family and friends. Keep an eye out for official confirmation of the exact dates as the holiday approaches.
