Abu Dhabi’s lineup of major residential developments just got a new addition. Aldar Properties has officially revealed Fahid Island, a coastal community promising a new kind of living experience rooted in wellness, sustainability, and nature.
Set just a short drive from Yas Island, Fahid Island is being promoted as Abu Dhabi’s newest island destination, surrounded by turquoise waters, natural mangroves, and lush green spaces. What sets it apart? It’s the first island in the UAE designed entirely around well-being.
Every residence will be located within 250 metres of a park or shaded trail, and the project includes 940,000 square metres of green space, 100,000 square metres of beach, and an impressive 11 km of coastline.
Future residents of Fahid Island can enjoy close proximity to the nature with:
- a 10 km stretch of berms
- a 3 km mangrove boardwalk
- a 2 km waterfront promenade
- 15 km of public walkways
- a 10 km running loop
Beyond the greenery, the island will also feature thoughtfully integrated retail outlets, dining venues, and schools, with a strong focus on walkability and ease of movement. Natural mangroves on the island will support air purification, reinforcing its health-focused design.
This launch adds to Abu Dhabi’s growing portfolio of luxury residential spaces, which already includes standout developments like Waldorf Astoria Residences Abu Dhabi and the recently announced BRABUS Island — each contributing to the capital’s vision for high-end, experience-driven living.
Aldar’s vision for Fahid Island is clear: it’s about more than real estate — it’s about cultivating a lifestyle centred on balance, nature, and long-term wellbeing. Stay with us for updates as more details about the development are revealed.
