Staying connected on the move just got easier in Ras Al Khaimah. The emirate’s Transport Authority has officially launched free high-speed WiFi on all public buses, covering both local and intercity routes.
The move is part of a broader plan to modernise public transport and boost passenger experience through digital upgrades. Whether you’re commuting within the emirate or heading to another city, you’ll now be able to browse, stream, or get work done with seamless internet access on board.

According to Ismail Hassan Al Baloushi, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, the goal is to support smart mobility while improving service quality. “By offering free onboard internet, we aim to make commuting more efficient and provide digital services that contribute to a better quality of life across the emirate,” he said.
The free WiFi is just one of several recent initiatives by the authority aimed at encouraging residents and visitors to embrace public transport as a practical, efficient, and eco-friendly choice.
The new connectivity service will be continuously monitored to ensure it remains fast and reliable, with improvements rolled out as needed. It’s all part of Ras Al Khaimah’s wider digital transformation efforts, making public transport not just sustainable — but smarter, too.
