Kuwait has officially approved seven-day transit visas for eligible travelers entering the country via land. The decision was issued under the directive of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al Yousef, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visa is intended for:
- Gulf citizens
- Residents of GCC countries
- European nationals
- Diplomatic personnel

This visa is open only to non-residents of Kuwait, and applications are managed through specific agreements between Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The travelers must be arriving from Iraq or transiting through Iran to be eligible.
The transit visa permits:
- A stay in Kuwait for up to 7 days
- Entry and exit between Abdali Port and Kuwait International Airport
- Time to arrange travel logistics or manage onward journeys
