For the first time, Art Here broadens its scope, inviting not just GCC artists but also talents from North Africa, making this edition truly pan-regional. The finalists — Férielle Doulain-Zouari from Tunisia, Lamya Gargash and Sarah Almehairi from the UAE, Moataz Nasr from Egypt, and Nicène Kossentini from Tunisia — bring a blend of sculpture, multimedia, and installation art that echoes the region’s evolving dialogue with heritage, environment, and culture.
Each artist presents work specifically commissioned for this show, including Doulain-Zouari’s exploration of memory and landscape in Tilling the Soil, Gargash’s whimsical Debutante Ball, which transforms UAE sand into a striking 2-meter beach ball, and Nasr’s The Brides of the Sky, a poetic tribute to the courage of women during historical conflicts.
This exhibition is set under Louvre Abu Dhabi’s iconic dome, making it a must-see whether you’re looking for a cultural family outing or a serene artistic experience. With tickets priced at Dhs 63, it’s an unmissable event for lovers of contemporary Middle Eastern and North African art.
