Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially opened a new bridge in Dubai, connecting Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street. The 985-metre-long structure, leading toward Infinity Bridge, is expected to bring noticeable relief to drivers in the area.
The bridge features two lanes and can handle up to 3,200 vehicles per hour. It is a key component of Phase 4 of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project, which spans 4.8 kilometres from the intersection of Sheikh Rashid Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street to the Falcon Intersection on Al Mina Street.

This new addition to Dubai’s road network will significantly reduce congestion. For drivers heading from Jumeirah Street toward Infinity Bridge via Al Mina Street, the journey time is expected to drop from 12 minutes to just 4 minutes, thanks to uninterrupted traffic flow with no traffic signals along the way.
In total, Phase 4 of the project includes six bridges covering 3.1 kilometres, with the combined capacity to support nearly 19,400 vehicles per hour. The phase also involves upgrades to several key intersections on Jumeirah Street, Al Mina Street, and Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Street.

Plans also include the construction of two new pedestrian bridges — one on Sheikh Rashid Road and the other on Al Mina Street — to improve safety and accessibility.
Looking ahead, another major bridge is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025. This 780-metre structure will feature three lanes and connect Infinity Bridge to Al Wasl Street via Al Mina Street, with the capacity to carry 4,800 vehicles per hour.
Together, these developments are set to ease traffic and improve connectivity across several vital areas of Dubai.
