Dubai’s Al Quoz is getting a fresh addition to its already vibrant food and culture scene. Chef Lynn Hazim, known for her popular food blog No Soup For You, is set to open her first restaurant concept, Middle Child, at Alserkal Avenue.
Taking inspiration from the often-overlooked middle sibling, Hazim has flipped the script on the idea of “Middle Child Syndrome” and turned it into a creative culinary project that reflects her personal story and love for food.

What to Expect at Middle Child
Middle Child positions itself as an all-in-one space that will include:
- A casual eatery with a central communal table and open kitchen
- A cookbook shop curated for fellow food lovers
- A gourmet grocery section offering specialty items for home cooks
The interior design, hinted at through a sketch shared on Hazim’s Instagram, suggests a clean, minimalist layout with seats in a line and a welcoming long table, inviting diners to gather and connect over food.
