Getting to the Mall of the Emirates just got a whole lot easier! A new bridge on Sheikh Zayed Road is now open, giving drivers a direct route to the mall and cutting travel time significantly. Whether you’re coming from Abu Dhabi or Umm Suqeim, this bridge will make your journey faster and smoother.

The 300-meter-long bridge is a game-changer for shoppers and commuters. If you’re driving from Abu Dhabi, what used to take 10 minutes now takes just one! Even those coming from Umm Suqeim will save time, with travel reduced from 15 minutes to only 8.

This new bridge is part of a larger AED 165 million plan to improve Al Barsha. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), working with Majid Al Futtaim, is upgrading roads, intersections, and public spaces to make travel easier and more convenient. Here’s what’s happening:

  • Better roads: Old roads in Al Barsha are being resurfaced for smoother drives.
  • Two-way traffic: The road near Kempinski Hotel is now two-way, simplifying navigation.
  • Wider ramps: The ramp from Umm Suqeim is being widened to make entering the mall parking quicker.

Pedestrians and cyclists are also in for a treat. Walkways, cycle paths, and bus stops are being upgraded, while better rainwater drainage and landscaping will enhance the area for everyone. With the new bridge directly connecting Sheikh Zayed Road to Mall of the Emirates, getting there will feel effortless whether you’re out shopping, grabbing a bite, or just passing through Al Barsha.
