Paid parking is coming to Dalma Mall and Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi, starting Friday, July 18, according to a confirmation by parking solutions provider Parkonic.
Both malls have been fitted with ANPR (automatic number-plate recognition) cameras, enabling cashless and ticketless entry and exit. The system automatically captures vehicle plate numbers and links them to the corresponding payment method.

Dalma Mall – Fees and Payment
At Dalma Mall, parking will be free for the first three hours from Monday to Friday, and free all day on weekends and public holidays.
- After the free period on weekdays, a fee of AED 10 per hour will apply
- Payment will be automated through Salik. Charges will be deducted directly from the vehicle owner’s Salik account upon exit

Al Wahda Mall – System in Place, Charges to be Announced Later
While the ANPR system is also installed at Al Wahda Mall, the parking fee structure has not yet been finalised.
- Payments will not be processed via Salik
- Visitors will be able to pay using the Parkonic app, website, or on-site kiosks once the charges are introduced
Stay tuned for more updates once the parking charges for Al Wahda Mall are confirmed.
The same day, it was announced that Abu Dhabi launches a new AI-powered public parking system this month, bringing a series of smart upgrades like automated payments, real-time data, and occupancy detection.
