Sharjah’s coastal city of Kalba is set to implement a paid parking system beginning February 1, the Kalba Municipality announced. This move aims to streamline parking availability and improve traffic flow in the bustling city.

The paid parking hours will run from 8 AM to 10 PM, Saturday through Thursday.

However, Fridays will remain exempt from fees in most areas. Specific zones, marked by blue information signs, will require payment even on Fridays and during official holidays.

To ensure a smooth transition, the municipality advises drivers to familiarize themselves with the designated fee zones and adhere to the signage. The introduction of paid parking is part of ongoing efforts to enhance urban mobility and make Kalba’s streets more accessible for residents and visitors.
