Riyadh Metro has officially opened the doors to its Orange Line, marking the completion of its expansive six-line network. As of January 5, this vital connection is set to transform how residents and visitors navigate the city.

The Orange Line, also known as Line 3, spans 41 km along Madinah Road, linking the eastern and western parts of Riyadh. It stretches from Jeddah Road to the second eastern ring road near Khashm Al-Aan, making it a critical addition to the metro system.

Starting operations daily at 6 AM, passengers can board at five major stations:

  • Jeddah Road Station
  • Tuwaiq Station
  • Douh Station
  • Harun Al-Rashid Road Station
  • Al-Naseem Station (offering convenient transfers to the Purple Line).

Riyadh Metro isn’t stopping there. The Blue Line now boasts three new stations:

  • Al-Morooj Station
  • Bank Al-Bilad Station
  • King Fahd Library Station

These additions connect key locations like Olaya Street and Batha, bringing the city’s landmarks closer than ever.

With a vast network of 176 kilometers and 85 stations, including four major transit hubs, Riyadh Metro holds the distinction of being the largest metro system in the Middle East and the longest driverless train network in the world.

Traveling on the metro is designed to be seamless. Tickets can be purchased via the Darb app, at ticket counters, or through self-service kiosks. Digital payments are also accepted, allowing passengers to travel easily with a smartphone or card.
