Planning to travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the UAE National Day celebrations? The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced temporary adjustments to two popular intercity bus routes, the E100 and E102, to enhance convenience during the long weekend. Here’s everything you need to know to stay prepared.
When Are the Changes Happening?
The modifications will be in effect from Friday, November 29, until Tuesday, December 3, coinciding with Eid Al Etihad 53 festivities.
What’s Changing on the E100 Route?
The E100 bus, a key link between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will relocate its starting point from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Ibn Battuta Bus Station. This shift is especially convenient for travelers living in areas like Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Jebel Ali, Al Barsha, and Palm Jumeirah. Despite the starting point adjustment, the E100 will still terminate at Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station.
Updates to the E102 Route
The E102 will continue to run between Ibn Battuta Bus Station in Dubai and Mussafah Shabiya Bus Station in Abu Dhabi. Commuters on this route won’t see major changes beyond the usual service.
Heading to Al Ain? Here’s What to Do
If your destination is the National Eid Al Etihad ceremony in Al Ain, the E201 bus from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station is your go-to option.
Other Recent RTA Updates
The RTA has been busy with other exciting long-term projects. For example:
- Global Village Connectivity: A new bus service now links the popular entertainment destination with the rest of Dubai.
- New Routes Added: Two fresh routes include a metro feeder bus between Al Ras Metro Station and Union Bus Station and another connecting Mira Community to Dubai Studio City, passing through Neshama Townhouses.
Whether you’re traveling for National Day festivities or daily commutes, these changes are designed to make public transportation more efficient.
