Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has extended its Bus On Demand service to Oud Metha and Barsha Heights, making it even easier for residents and visitors to get around. This expansion comes as a response to growing demand for affordable and flexible public transport in the city.
Now, Bus On Demand service operates in 11 areas in the city:
- Al Barsha 1, 2, and 3
- Al Nahda
- Al Karama
- Al Rigga
- Business Bay
- Barsha Heights
- Downtown Dubai
- Dubai Academic City
- Dubai Silicon Oasis
- Oud Metha
- Port Saeed
How to Book a Ride?
Booking a ride is simple. Just download the Bus On Demand app, enter your location and destination, and a vehicle will pick you up from the nearest point.
Bus On Demand Service in Dubai: Prices
Each trip costs AED 5 per person, making it a budget-friendly option compared to taxis and ride-hailing services. You can also book for up to six people at once.
Service Timings
Monday – Thursday: 5 AM – Midnight
Friday: 5 AM – 1 AM (next day)
Saturday: 5 AM – Midnight
Sunday: 8 AM – Midnight
This service is part of RTA’s efforts to reduce traffic congestion and encourage more people to use public transport. It provides a smart alternative for daily commutes, especially in busy areas where parking can be a challenge.
