Ever looked around your neighborhood and imagined every balcony, rooftop, and window carrying the UAE flag? With everyone joining in, that picture could be very real.

On April 9, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, took to X to call on all residents to raise the UAE flag above homes and buildings across the country.

“Let us raise the flag high above every home and building,” Sheikh Mohammed said, describing the flag as a sign of love for the country and loyalty to its leadership.

The call isn’t linked to a specific time of day. It’s more about a shared moment. A visual reminder that people stood together during a difficult period and continue to do so.

Across the UAE, community efforts have already been showing up in different ways, with people and businesses supporting each other through challenging times. A few weeks ago, talabat offered 100 rent-free spaces for restaurants for six month. In a similar move, Majid Al Futtaim recently opened free retail spots for local small businesses.

There are also simple ways for anyone to take part, like a pay-it-forward platform where you can cover a coffee or a meal for someone else.
