Abu Dhabi’s Yas Waterworld is getting even bigger this summer. The long-awaited expansion opened to the public on July 1, 2025, adding 13,445 square metres of brand-new aquatic fun.
The updated section builds on the park’s existing theme, continuing the tale of “The Legend of the Lost Pearl” with a new storyline set in the Lost City. It introduces 20 new rides, slides, and experiences, thoughtfully designed for a wide range of age groups — from young kids to thrill-seekers.

Here’s a look at what’s new:
- Al Mafras (from 90 cm) – a kid-friendly, twisting desert slide with a splash landing
- Dawwama Junior (from 90 cm) – a child-sized version of the park’s iconic tornado slide
- Al Sahel Junior – the region’s first mini zero-gravity boomerango, specially designed for younger visitors with the height from 90 cm
- Red Dunes (from 100 cm) – a closed aqua tube ride full of high-speed twists
- Al Falaj Race (from 105 cm) – the region’s first side-by-side dueling tube raft race, made for high-speed, competitive drops and turns
Other additions to water park were revealed earlier this April. While you’re planning summer fun on Yas Island, don’t miss Electric Ocean Festival at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. Running daily until August 31, the festival transforms the park with glowing displays, entertainment, and ocean-themed spectacles.
With this latest addition, Yas Waterworld now has more than 60 rides, slides, and attractions, making it one of the most action-packed waterparks in the region. If you’re planning a visit to Yas Island and explore its new rides and attractions, get your tickets now via Platinumlist.
