Biography & Career Snap! is a German Eurodance group that emerged in 1989, founded by producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti. Over the years, the group underwent several lineup changes, collaborating with American singers, songwriters, and rappers like Thea Austin, Turbo B, Niki Haris, and Penny Ford. Snap!'s notable chart-toppers include "The Power" and "Rhythm Is a Dancer," which secured the number-one spot in multiple countries. Their journey began with previous projects like "Off" with Sven Väth and "16 BIT" before forming Snap! in 1989 under aliases. "The Power" featuring Turbo B and Penny Ford marked their breakthrough, earning gold and silver awards in various countries. Subsequent hits like "Ooops Up," "Cult of Snap," and "Mary Had a Little Boy" followed, leading to their successful debut album, "World Power." The group disbanded in 1996 but returned in 2000 with "Gimme a Thrill" and continued to release remixes and singles in the following years. Their recordings are now managed by BMG Rights Management.
