Italian DJ and producer Benny Benassi is one of the most respected acts on the electronic music scene. Known for his high-quality electro-house productions, Benassi has toured all over the world, performing for thousands of fans every year.
Having begun his career in Milan clubs in the late 80s, Benassi started producing in the 90s for acts such as J.K. and Whigfield. He released his debut hit ‘I Feel So Fine’ under than name KMC, propelling him to the top of the genre when the track became an instant club hit.
Benassi’s next track was to become his biggest to date. The 2002 track ‘Satisfaction’ was adored in the club scene, reaching Number 2 in the UK Singles Chart and charting all over the world, reaching Gold certification in Australia, Belgium, France and the United States. Since then, it has been sampled numerous times and still receives continuous airtime on radio shows and sets across the world.
Benassi continued to produce, releasing his debut album ‘Hypnotica’ in 2003. The album went on to win the European Border Breakers Award the following year. In 2007, he remixed Public Enemy’s ‘Bring the Noise’ and was awarded the Grammy for Best Remix (Dance).
Since then, Benassi has collaborated with numerous artists both in and out of dance music. He has worked with Madonna, Kelis, apl.de.ap and Chris Brown, for whom he produced the track ‘Beautiful People’ in 2011.
