Dutch rock band Kensington, formed from Casper Starreveld, Eloi Youssef, Niles Vandenberg and Jan Haker, have released four albums and have established themselves as one of the leading rock bands in the Netherlands throughout their over ten-year career.
Formed in 2005, Kensington performed around the Netherlands for a number of years before releasing their first album, ‘Borders’, in 2010. The album charted in their home country, but it wasn’t until two years later that they first entered the Top Ten with ‘Vultures’, their second album, which was signed to Universal Records, which also earnt them two nominations at the 3FM Awards.
Kensington’s following albums, ‘Rivals’ and ‘Control’ went on to top the Dutch Album Charts and charted highly in Belgium. The albums, which included the singles ‘Streets’ and ‘War’ were highly praised and have seen the band become known as one of the country’s top rock acts.
The band have also been praised for their live performances which have seen them perform all over the world, including recent performances at festivals such as Sziget in Hungary, Stonerock in Germany and Pinkpop in the Netherlands.
