Born in Chennai-India, Karthik is one of the current generation’s most in-demand singer-composers. While most of his nearly 2000 songs are from South India, Karthik has lent his vocal stylings for Hindi, Bengali, Odia, English as well as Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada. In addition to multi-lingual adaptability, Karthik is known for his ability to take on many more genres. Everything after this had a snowball effect, Karthik was booked solid for recordings, shows and has even appeared as judge/mentor for a few reality TV singing competitions.
Karthik’s beginnings, like most dedicated singers, was with Carnatic music. During college, he went on to join a band and tuned his skills with other genres too which was showcased at many college festivals. It was hardly any wonder then that Karthik gravitated towards live performances, and that rock-like, high energy tracks came his way quite regularly.
