Irish comedian Ed Byrne is one of the UK’s leading comedy talents. Having appeared on numerous TV shows, Byrne has toured all over the world, bringing his unique style of comedy to thousands of people.
Having started a comedy night in Glasgow whilst at university, Byrne eventually made a move to London to pursue a comedy career. He was nominated for the Perrier Comedy Award at the 1998 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, setting him up for a successful career in the industry.
Byrne has toured the UK numerous times, performing three sell-out tours and releasing three DVD specials from his ‘Pedantic and Whimsical’ show at Leeds City Varieties, ‘Different Class’ at Glasgow King’s Theatre and ‘Crowd Pleaser’ at Newcastle City Hall, most recently in 2011.
Byrne has also been featured on numerous British television shows, most notably as a panelist on Mock the Week, where he has featured on more than 40 episodes. He has also appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You and The Graham Norton Show.
