Parking system in some areas of Dubai is getting smarter. More than 500 kerbside and pole cameras are already active in the city, tracking entry and exit times. Drivers can already spot them in three areas in Dubai:
- Trade Centre 1
- Burj Khalifa
- Al Corniche
The solar-powered cameras can calculate how long a car stays parked, detect parking violations, and support automatic fee payments. The system connects with the Parkin app and Parkin Wallet, allowing drivers to manage payments directly from their phones.

The network gives real-time updates, helping drivers find available spaces more easily in busy areas.
In addition to these cameras, 200 more are planned in different parts of the city.
If you’re driving in Dubai, keep in mind the recent changes. Paid parking is now active in DAMAC Hills. This year, paid parking has already been introduced in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), Wasl Village, Dubai Maritime City, and Palm Jumeirah Crescent as well.
