Imagine a place in Riyadh packed with hundreds of your favourite brands. Add restaurants, a cinema, luxury hotels, wellness concepts, and family attractions, and you’ll get a good idea of what’s coming to Diriyah Square, an upcoming retail, dining, and entertainment destination.

Instead of a traditional mall, Diriyah Square will feature pedestrian streets, shaded walkways, and open public spaces. And with more than 300 brands already confirmed, you might be wondering where you’ll be shopping first.

Let’s dive into the details.

The list already includes some heavy hitters. Apple is coming with a flagship store, and VOX Cinemas has secured a spot for a new multiplex.

Sports and lifestyle: adidas, Lululemon, Alo Yoga, and On Running.

Fashion: Abercrombie & Fitch, AllSaints, and Hollister.

Home: Crate & Barrel and CB2.

Beauty: Shiseido’s first standalone store in Saudi Arabia.

The area will also include a supermarket, pharmacy, medical clinic, wellness facilities, and family attractions.

With so much packed into one place, chances are you won’t see everything in a single day and will end up coming back more than once.

To accommodate all those visitors, plans also include more than 10,500 underground parking spaces. however, by the time Diriyah Square opens, you may also be able to get there by public transport. Riyadh Metro has approved an extension of the Red Line, adding five new stations and stretching the route all the way to Diriyah Gate.

Another huge project to watch: The Avenues Riyadh opening in 2027.
