Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is advancing a series of road projects across key residential areas to improve mobility, reduce congestion, and support the city’s growing population. Work has already wrapped up in Al Khawaneej 2 (Tolerance District) and Jebel Ali Industrial Area 1, while six more areas are currently under development, covering a total of 103 kilometres of roads. Mattar Al Tayer, RTA’s Director General, said the projects will enhance lighting, stormwater drainage, and overall traffic efficiency, while creating safer, smoother streets for residents.
