Minimum Fare for Taxi Rides Booked via Apps

The starting price for taxi rides booked via an app like RTA Dubai Taxi App, Uber, Careem, or other licensed e-hail services is now AED 13. This is the base fare before any distance or waiting time is added. It applies to all rides, regardless of the time of day or night. These fares do not apply to customers hailing taxis directly on the road.

These updated fares aim to provide more clarity for commuters and help with budgeting for trips, depending on when you’re traveling. Understanding the fare structure can help you plan your rides better, whether you’re heading to work, meeting friends, or exploring Dubai at night.

In the near future, we expect upgrades in Dubai’s transport network, such as AI-powered translator systems in some taxis. These will make it easier to communicate with drivers, especially for international visitors.
