If you regularly drive to mosques in Dubai, there’s a new parking update you need to know. Starting August 2025, more than 2,100 parking spaces across 59 mosques in the city will be managed by Parkin Company, under a new agreement with Dubai’s Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).

The new setup allows free parking for one hour during prayer time. Outside those hours, however, all these spaces will become paid parking zones, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The newly managed mosque parking areas will be assigned to either Zone M or Zone MP, each with its own fee structure.

Zone M (standard parking):

  • AED 2 for 30 minutes
  • AED 4 for 1 hour

Zone MP (premium parking):

  • Off-peak hours: AED 2 for 30 minutes / AED 4 for 1 hour
  • Peak hours: AED 3 for 30 minutes / AED 6 for 1 hour

Out of the 59 mosques:

  • 41 locations will fall under Zone M
  • 18 locations will be classified as Zone MP

During prayer times, drivers heading to the mosque can continue to park for free for up to one hour. After that, standard rates apply depending on the zone and time of day.

This isn’t the only update to the city’s parking system. Dubai’s parking fees increase during major public events, and a new zone-based fee system is already being rolled out across several districts.
