A new single-lane bridge on Sheikh Zayed Road has opened, offering drivers direct access to Mall of the Emirates’ parking lot from Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali. Developed by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim Properties, the 300-metre bridge can handle up to 900 vehicles per hour and is part of broader upgrades around the mall.

The surrounding area has seen significant improvements:

  • 2.5 km of roads upgraded
  • 6 signalised intersections redesigned
  • bus station at Mall of the Emirates Metro Station modified

The road adjacent to the Kempinski Hotel is now two-way, while pedestrian pathways and cycling tracks have been enhanced for safer movement.

Mall of the Emirates is also in the midst of redevelopment. The expansion will bring 100 new stores, including big-name brands like Primark, known for affordable fashion; SKIMS, the popular shapewear and loungewear brand; and Ulta Beauty, the go-to store for cosmetics, skincare, and haircare products.

These projects highlight Dubai’s ongoing focus on improving accessibility, transport, and urban infrastructure. Stay tuned for updates on other major initiatives in the city!
