Mall of the Emirates is getting a serious upgrade — and it’s not just a fresh coat of paint. AED 5 billion is being invested to completely transform the popular Dubai shopping destination over the next few years, promising visitors more shops, better facilities, and some pretty exciting new features.

Here’s what’s on the way:

1. 100 New Shops to be Opened

Get ready to do a lot more shopping. More places to browse, buy, or just window shop — an entire new section of stores will be added to the mall. Whether you’re into fashion, tech, or lifestyle, expect a wider mix of brands to explore.

2. Wellness Goes Luxe

Part of the makeover is already in motion. Around AED 1.1 billion has been set aside for improvements currently underway. One of them is the SEVEN Wellness Club, now open at the Kempinski Hotel. It offers high-end gym facilities, spa services, and recovery treatments — perfect if you want to squeeze in a massage or steam session after a day of shopping.

3. Dining and Entertainment in One Big Precinct

A new indoor-outdoor area is being built, combining fast-casual restaurants and entertainment zones. An open-air courtyard with food and drinks, surrounded by greenery is set to open in early 2027 and will be especially popular during Dubai’s cooler months.

4. A New Cultural Space with a 600-Seat Theatre

Opening later in 2025, a brand-new cultural hub is in the works in collaboration with the Dubai Performing Arts Academy. It’ll include rehearsal areas and a full-size theatre — a big step for live entertainment inside a mall.

5. West End Area Revamp

The West End of the mall is also getting a revamp. Expect easier access, barrier-free parking, and upgraded roads and bridges — all being done in collaboration with the RTA to make the experience smoother and more convenient.

The transformation will roll out in phases over the next few years, with some features already under construction. Mall of the Emirates has big plans — and it’s becoming greener, more cultural, and much more shopper-friendly. Stay tuned as the transformation continues to roll out.
