Dubai is taking significant steps to improve access to Dubai International Airport (DXB). Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced plans to build a new bridge and increase the road capacity toward the airport. The initiative aims to improve traffic flow in the area surrounding Terminal 1 at DXB. The new bridge will be constructed using an innovative system of steel box girders and a composite concrete slab, which will help expedite the construction process. Notably, no traffic diversions will be required on Airport Street during the construction phase, minimizing disruption to daily traffic. View this post on Instagram A...

Abu Dhabi is making public transport greener with the launch of electric and hydrogen-powered buses on Bus Route 65. This marks another step toward reducing emissions and creating a more sustainable city. Bus Service No. 65 now runs entirely on zero-emission buses. It connects Marina Mall to Al Reem Island, covering about 2,000 km daily and serving 6,000 passengers. This switch to electric and hydrogen-powered buses means 200 fewer tonnes of CO₂ emissions per day, which is like taking 14,700 cars off Abu Dhabi’s roads. The electric bus rollout won’t stop at Route 65. Soon, you’ll also see these eco-friendly...

In Abu Dhabi, new traffic regulations are now in place for young drivers with probationary licenses. Starting recently, drivers under the age of 21 who repeatedly reach the maximum traffic points during their probationary period will have their licenses revoked. This means they won’t be able to apply for a new one for a full year. Under the current system, every time a driver commits a traffic violation, they accumulate traffic points. Check out the full guide on traffic fines and black points in Abu Dhabi. For those under 21, probationary drivers who accumulate 24 points for the first time...

Get ready, Dubai food lovers, because a fresh new dining spot is heading to the city. Sobremesa, a Mexican-Spanish fusion restaurant, is set to open next month in Souk Al Bahar, bringing modern gourmet plates, lively cocktails, and a relaxed post-meal vibe. Sobremesa takes its name from a beloved Latin tradition – the time spent chatting and laughing once the plates are cleared. So, don’t rush off after your main course – stick around...
