If smoky kababs, fresh flatbreads and slow-cooked Persian dishes sound like your kind of dinner, Abu Dhabi finally has its own Berenjak restaurant. The London-born spot has opened inside The House in Al Bateen, bringing its menu to a two-floor villa in the capital.

Kababs are one of the biggest reasons people love Berenjak, and the Abu Dhabi menu includes several favourites already popular at the restaurant’s other locations, like Koobideh Kabab with minced lamb, onion and black pepper or Kabab Vaziri with juicy beef and tender chicken.

If it’s your first time at Berenjak, a few dishes deserve a spot on the table:

  • Kashk-e Bademjoon with charred aubergine, garlic and walnuts
  • Ghormeh Sabzi, the slow-cooked herb stew with lamb and dried limes
  • Black chickpea hummus with sunflower seed tahini

Abu Dhabi also gets something exclusive: Persian Tea Ice Cream, a chai-flavoured soft serve dessert.

The restaurant has an open kitchen where guests can watch chefs cooking over the mangal grill. Upstairs, there are private dining spaces, including one room overlooking the garden.

With the Eid break coming up, Berenjak could easily become one of the new spots to add to your dining plans. You can also check out Eid Brunches in Abu Dhabi 2026: A Feast of Flavors and Festivities for more places to book during the holidays.
