International Museum Day is giving you a good excuse to head to Expo City this weekend. From May 16 to 18, Vision Pavilion offers free entry for everyone, making it an easy family-friendly stop if you’re planning a day out.

The experience moves between desert landscapes, childhood memories, horses, nature, and Dubai’s history, all tied together through personal stories and cultural traditions. Visitors can follow the story of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum through a series of immersive spaces inspired by different stages of his life.

One room brings visitors into the atmosphere of old desert life and introduces the customs of the Bani Yas tribe, along with Bedouin values centred on respect and generosity. Another space recreates a childhood room from Zabeel Palace, giving a more personal look at Sheikh Mohammed’s early years.

Visitors will also see an installation dedicated to Dubai Millennium, the legendary horse closely associated with Sheikh Mohammed.

If you’ve never visited Vision Pavilion before, free entry this weekend on May 16-18 sounds like a good chance to go.
