If you’ve got a habit of ordering lunch deliveries, there’s a new ban in Kuwait that could affect your plans. Delivery bikes and motorcycles get a five-hour pause this summer, with operations suspended daily between 11 AM and 4 PM.
The change is here for the whole summer, with the restriction remaining in effect until August 31.
And while we’re talking about deliveries, have you checked out Snoonu? This Qatari app recently launched in Kuwait and covers everything from food delivery and groceries to movie tickets and gym bookings, so you can get a lot done without jumping between apps.

Similar daytime restrictions already apply to outdoor workers, with work paused during the hottest hours. At the same time, government sector in Kuwait has moved to a six-hour workday for the summer months.
Summer afternoons in the country are known for extreme heat, with temperatures often rising above 50°C. And if your first thought is “maybe I need to chill somewhere cooler,” here’s good news. Kuwait Airways has just unveiled 12 new destinations for summer 2026.
