Looking for a quiet corner in Dubai that doesn’t involve crowds, noise, or screens? A small reading space in Al Quoz opens this week and offers exactly that. For World Book Day, celebrated on April 23, Julith Coffee and Bookends are opening The Smallest Library in Dubai.
You’ll find it inside Julith’s café in Al Quoz, where one of the soundproof pods used for work and meetings becomes a small reading room for a week. You can book it for free, pick a title, then spend an hour inside reading.
Within the 128 by 198 cm space, shelves are filled with around 500 books in five languages.

One hour is enough to get into a story and flip through a few titles until you find one you want to take home. If you want to keep any book after this experience, you’ll be able to pay for it right there.

Opening hours of Julith’s café in Al Quoz:
- Monday to Friday: 7 AM to 6 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: 9 AM to 8 PM
The experience is available for a limited-time, from April 23 to April 30, 2026. All details about booking via @julith.coffee.
