There is little introduction to be done for Nadeem Baig, who is said to be one of the biggest actor-singer-producers in Pakistan. Having bagged innumerable awards over the last 4+ decades as well as having contributed to the Pakistani film fraternity and starred in 200 movies and above, Baig’s reference here is nothing short of legendary.
Born in pre-partition India, Baig and his family moved to Pakistan where he had completed schooling and college before starting work. His debut acting role was in 1967’s “Chakori”, which did extremely well all over the country. In fact, Baig had bagged the highly coveted Nigar Award for his outstanding performance in ‘Chakori’.
Soon after, he became a prominent part of the film-industry with several movies being signed one after the other. Furthermore, in addition to the acting, Baig was known to have carried out the playback singing for most of his movies.
