Dhanush is a famous Indian actor, producer, playback singer, director, and lyricist who works at Tamil cinema.
He was born in India in the family of a film producer and director. Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja or Dhanush's birthday is on 28 July, 1983. The boy wanted to become a chef by profession but Dhanush`s family, namely his brother, persuaded him to become an actor.
In 2002, the actor debuted in Thulluvadho Ilamai that was directed by his father Kasthuri Raja. The film as well as some other movies where Danush had played in later won critical acclaim and the actor`s play was praised. All in all he has starred in dozens of Kollywood movies, the best of them are Maryan (2013), Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014), Anegan (2015), Kodi (2016), Vadachennai (2018), and Thiruchitrambalam (2022).
He received the National Film Award for Best Actor twice in 2011 and 2021, for his films Aadukalam and Asuran.
